“The bullet that struck me was in the skull. I did not even get a scratch… but in a way I feel sorry for the woman who was struck by the train.

“I have suffered enough of these bulletins, with the camera in my face so often.

“One day people will ask the right questions and that day I hope we will have an opportunity not only to speak out but to speak out against violence against women, which we are supposed to stand against,” he added.

After the funeral, police will continue to keep the public updated, including by posting an update for anyone travelling on Metro between 11pm and 2am BST.
